Das erste Serienmodell des auf diesem Patent beruhenden Brompton wurde 1986 hergestellt. Abgesehen von dem stark ans ''Petit Bi'' erinnernden Lenker und der doch etwas abenteurlich wirkenden Positionierung der Hinterbaufederung direkt an der Sattelstange, wurde das ursprüngliche Konzept im wesentlichen beibehalten.
